Drs. Edmond and Ella Haddad are leaving their legacy by giving the gift of opportunity. Both educators at Loma Linda University Health, they decided to make a gift through real estate. Proceeds from its sale established the Ella and

Edmond Haddad International Student Scholarship in the Loma Linda University

School of Public Health and added to The Labeeb Haddad Memorial Scholarship in Loma Linda University School of Dentistry.

Don Hall has a gift for multiplying good outcomes. Since TIME Magazine recognized him and his cutting-edge, computerized, Health Risk Assessment in its January 1983 issue, the father of the Corporate Wellness industry continued to evolve WellSuite, attracting clients like Vanderbilt University, Nike and Aramco. The multiplication factor is impressive: One insurance company alone enrolled 1.5 million customers in one month.

Don has also found a way to leverage his giving for impressive outcomes. Working with LLUH, Don created a trust that both includes his family and ensures that LLUH’s Adventist Health Study will continue. In addition, a gift of stock and annual IRA charitable rollovers efficiently fulfill his Vision 2020 pledge.

Nichol Hall 1610 Renovations

Room 1610 at Nichol Hall 1610 is a multi-purpose classroom that LLU School of Public Health faculty, staff and students call home. It is used for all-school meetings, the Careers in Public Health Summer recruitment program, and home base for Public Health Core (PCOR) students during their first few quarters. Through the generosity of our donors, $94,253 was raised to support the renovation and remodel of this space.

$94,253

The amount of money raised to renovate the Nichol Hall 1610 classroom, nearly doubling the campaign goal of $50,000.

1610 was updated to accommodate the interdisciplinary teaching methodology of PCOR, students in epidemiology, nutrition, health education, and global health work in groups to solve public health challenges. A state of the art Bose sound system, large screen projector and a hub that connects devices in 1610 to the rest of the world. See more photos of the renovated classroom below.

We are building relationships and growing our small school with help from generous donors. Our school's philanthropy team is always ready to share and listen to exciting new opportunities for growth.
