Population Medicine Online
Individuals who may benefit from this program are practicing health professionals, such as physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, physical therapists, and psychologists, and students who are currently enrolled in clinical practice-related doctoral degrees (e.g., M.D., D.O., D.D.S., Pharm.D.).

Epidemiology Online
Our MPH in Epi program provides theoretical and practical training applicable to a variety of public health issues. Although epidemiology is a relatively young discipline, this collection of investigative methods has become an integral part of public health, as epidemiological findings permeate all fields of human health, especially today.


Nutrition
The MPH in Nutrition and Dietetics enables students to meet the didactic and supervised practice requirements for registration eligibility in dietetics. The purpose of registration is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public by encouraging high standards of performance by persons practicing in nutrition and dietetics.
Global Health
The MPH degree in Global Health prepares committed professionals who are both technically competent and cross-culturally skilled in creating and facilitating sustainable health and development programs in diverse settings and populations.

The Online Master of Science in Plant-based Nutrition.
The first online Master of Science (M.S.) degree program in plant-based nutrition, is coming to the school of public health at Loma Linda University in Fall 2021. This is a competency-based program developed in direct response to the increasing demand (registered dietitians and other health care professionals) for a graduate curriculum focused on plant-based nutrition.
The new program is projected to open for enrollment in Fall 2021. This program is completely online (combines synchronous and asynchronous classes) with didactic training in nutritional science with a focus on the role of plant-based diet patterns, plant foods, and nutrients with respect to promoting health, preventing disease, and for sustaining the planet, along with the evidenced-based approach to applying the principles of plant-based eating for the health of the individual and population.

The Doctor of Public Health in Health Education is designed for individuals who desire to add depth to their health education specialization and develop research, writing, professionalism, management, and leadership capabilities. The program emphasizes the practice of healthful lifestyle behaviors and community health education.


Health Policy & Leadership DrPH, Online
The primary focus of this program is to enhance the skills and abilities of those in positions of leadership; to develop competencies in policy development, analysis, and implementation; applied to health care and social determinants of health—to add to the body of knowledge about leadership through observation, reflection, and research; and to bring together leaders who desire to learn, mentor, and model exemplary leadership.
Preventive Care DrPH, Online
The Preventive Care Program is designed to prepare high level specialists in wellness and lifestyle management intervention. Emphasis is on academic preparation, practical skills, and administrative abilities in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs and protocols designed to address a wide spectrum of health issues—particularly those dealing with chronic disease.

Nutrition PhD
The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in nutrition prepares you for a career in academia, governmental agencies, research institutes, nonprofit organizations, and private industry. The program is designed to provide an advanced curriculum in nutrition, professional skills, and competencies required to support careers in teaching and research.


Epidemiology PhD
The aim of this program is to prepare students with a strong background in a health science such as medicine or public health for a career in research and teaching at academic and non-academic institutions, governmental agencies, research institutes, non-profit organizations or private industry.
